​ Currently the only other program to offer lab testing to U.S. the public for research chemicals and drugs is Erowid Center.
There are several advantages to using USDTO over the exctacydata.org lab, one is the cost, our test are FREE.
The second advantage to using our service is that our results are not reported to the DEA or another other government agency in the U.S. since our lab is located outside of the U.S.
Some members of the research chemical communities feel strongly existing derivatives, that are not found to be harmful to the public, should not be automatically banned when the DEA and legislative branch gains knowledge of them; and that this leads to manufacturers making newer possibly more dangerous compounds to skirt laws. While a DEA registered lab is suitable for testing known compounds and illicit drugs many researchers of newer chemicals are discouraged from testing by the possibility their test results will be used to help the U.S. government identify and ban them.
That being said, we want to encourage our members to also continue to donate to Erowid Center while we congratulate them on 15 years of providing a testing service to the public; and for those that cannot afford the cost of testing there is USDTO.

USDTO is funded by donations from businesses and private individuals, we can also accept private grants.

The need for free testing of research chemicals an drugs in the U.S. for public safety is the driving force behind the forming of U.S. Drug Testing Organization.
USDTO is working on B-Corporation status which will allow us to be involved in political activism something non-profits cannot do.
As a B-Corporation we could also accept grants for the program which some non-profits are not permitted to do.
